Great Chemistry – Anniversary Card

Lawn Fawnatics now has its third challenge: outstanding occasions. I decided to make an anniversary card using Science of Love by Lawn Fawn and its co-ordinating dies. This is a very simple card, made with a lot of love.

For this card, I placed the flasks on a piece of watercolour paper and ran it through my die-cutting machine. With Distress Inks, a paintbrush and some water, I created the background. The colours I used were Cracked Pistachio, Spun Sugar and Scattered Straw. After the ink has dried, I took my paintbrush and made some “spots” above the flasks with water. Since Distress Inks react with water, the water will absorb into the ink creating some cool effects.

I put foam tape on the back of this panel and adhered it to my card base. I die-cut some hearts with the Lawn Fawn Hearts dies from pink-coloured cardstock. I glued them onto the panel and covered them with Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents.

I originally posted this card on my Flickr site and linked it to the Lawn Fawnatics site.

I hope you enjoy this card. See you soon!
